IREKS welcomes the Worshipful Company of Bakers
A week of Knowledge Sharing, Tradition, and Networking
At the end of July, lecturers from UK colleges and universities, together with representatives of the Worshipful Company of Bakers (WCB), visited IREKS in Kulmbach. The programme combined hands-on bakery training, a presentation and tasting of traditional and innovative baked goods, and a visit to the Bavarian Bakery Museum.
In discussions with Sam White of Bakery Business Magazine, the group explored how WCB and ABST can better support students. Shared meals with Franconian cuisine and a tour of a local bakery rounded off the programme, offering valuable insights into regional practices.
IREKS is grateful for the close collaboration with the WCB and looks forward to strengthening this partnership.
